News from the PAC Panel at Anime Boston

PAC in-person registration at Anime Boston: operators are standing by…
First off, we’d just like to say hello and thank you to our new forum members and everyone who registered for Providence Anime Conference in person or attended our panel at Anime Boston 2008! If you weren’t able to attend the Providence Anime Conference panel at Anime Boston, we have a quick recap right here. As promised, we had some special announcements we were saving for the panel:
* Two new industry guests! FUNimation’s Adam Sheehan and ADV Films’ David Williams will be attending PAC 2008 as guests–we’ll be releasing an official announcement with bios soon.
* Cash bar at the welcome reception and formal ball. We might as well savor the perks of being over 21, eh? Just remember to enjoy responsibly, as they say.
* Programming news: we’ll be posting a preliminary schedule on April 1st listing the times of major events. Specific panels and other events will be added to the schedule as time goes on. For your convenience, we’ll also note in the program guide, schedule, and at-con room signage what programming contains hentai, violence, dub/sub, etc.
* Online registration is coming! Our ETA is a couple of weeks at most, so if you haven’t registered, check back regularly–not only will we limit attendance to the first 2000 registrants, there are only slightly over 200 registrations left at the $65 price for our “early adopters”. Once those sell out, the price goes up by $5. And once we hit 1000 registrants, the price will be $75.
Of course, you might want to start checking back with us regularly anyway, even if it’s just to join in our forum. Planning work behind the scenes is kicking up another gear and we’ll be updating the website, forums, and this blog accordingly.
